1) Define and distinguish the Paleolithic and Neolithic Eras. What  other names do historians use when referring to these two eras? What was  the approximate time frame for each era? What technological and  cultural developments characterized each era?

) How is a civilization different than a culture? What are the key components of a civilization?

4) Discuss the emergence of agriculture. In which regions did it  emerge without any outside influence? Discuss the theories I described  in my Word lecture regarding the origins of agriculture.

5) What were some of the benefits of agriculture? Did the emergence  of agriculture have any unintended negative consequences, if so, please  discuss in detail.
