A school’s culture should reflect the mission of the institution. Educational leaders should consider the values, beliefs, and rules that are embedded in a school’s culture. Lacking an understanding of these factors can affect teachers’ performance. Leaders should be prepared to engage with and respond to the multiple cultures present in schools.
Explain adult culture, student culture, and teacher culture. Describe the benefits of educational leaders who understand their schools’ diverse cultures and community influence.
