Thesis Statement
Generating a thesis statement is perhaps the most important part of the Capstone Paper process. It is essential that students craft a strong, defendable thesis statement upon which to base their further research. Utilizing the Ashford Writing Center, the student must present his/her thesis statement in writing. In order to accomplish this, the student must:

1. Access the Thesis Generator (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. in the Ashford Writing Center.
2. Follow steps 1 through 6 of the Thesis Statement Guide Development Tool in order to create the most effective thesis possible.
3. Include a title page as well as a reference page.
