I do agree that there are opportunities to improve access to care and services if expanded scopes of practice were to occur. There are significant variations throughout the country in scopes of practice among healthcare providers. In the Federal Government, we do not adhere to individual state guidelines but rather have consistent approaches throughout the country. Should the entire nation have a single definition of scope of practice for each healthcare professional? Thoughts class?
