 An Encephalography better known as an (EEG) and Magnetoencephalography (MEG) are the two methods of research for studying neural function. An EEG is where wires are placed on a person’s scalp and the brain waves are measured. This can be used to view brain waves for people that have epilepsy or what state of sleep someone is in. An MEG is a test that measures the magnetic fields that is produced from the brain’s electrical activity (Gazzaniga & Mangun, 2018). The major limitation that the MEG has is the price of it because the magnetic field that come from the brain are very weak (Gazzaniga & Mangun, 2018).
