Why did it take so long for women to win the vote?

 Please answer this question in a well-developed essay (4-6 double-spaced typed pages in length with one inch margins,[1] in black 12-point Times New Roman font on white paper (footnotes, unlike the main text, are to be in 10-point font), and with one staple in the upper left hand corner and page numbers in the upper right hand corner) that contains a thesis statement, a structure, and specific examples from the lectures and readings.
