Need help with this please it was apart of the assignment :
Please create an initial post of at least 150 words that addresses the following prompts:
-
In a single thesis statement, identify your topic, claim, and 3 main points.
-
In a few sentences, summarize the details of your main points and the types of support or evidence (research) you will use to prove that your thesis is true.
-
In a few sentences, explain the way that you plan to present your counter-argument in the refutation paragraph (What would people who disagree with you say and why are they wrong?)
-
Draft a reworded version of the thesis that uses different wording to restate the main points, claim, and topic.
Response Posts
After completing the initial post, please help two classmates by providing your feedback in detailed response posts of at least 75 words per post. Some areas you can focus on are:
-
identifying the parts of the argument that are clearly written
-
providing advice for correcting or revising portions that may be confusing
-
offering suggestions for ideas or areas of the topic that are not considered or included
-
critiquing the reworded thesis with advice for word choice or order

Thesis: Required internships should not be mandatory because they create financial burdens, are not equally accessible to all students, and can delay graduation or increase stress. I do see the side of where they are helpful, but for my own situation they are going to cause difficulties for my family. I plan to support each of these points with proper research from academic journals, higher education studies, and reports about student finances and internships accessibility. My evidence will show how unpaid or low paid internships can force students to choose between earning income and gaining real world hands on expeirience, and how students with family or work responsibilities may be placed at a disadvantage choosing between graduation and providing for their home.
People who do support required internships argue that they provide valuable hands on experience, improve job readiness, and help students build professional networks. While these benefits are real, I believe internships should remain optional because students can still gain practical experience through employment, volunteer work, clinical experiences, or other opportunities without making internships a graduation requirement.
Colleges should not require internships for graduation because mandatory internships can create financial hardships, limit equal opportunities for students, and interfere with completing a degree on time.
