Description
The critical issue may relate to any aspect of technology or design advocacy in the Technology
classroom.
The critical issues can be selected from a range of topics, not limited to:
Problem based learning, STEM education, Teaching strategies including: demonstration
techniques, Practical work, theory lessons, classroom management, Quick quiz, Questioning, De
Bono’s Thinking Hats, PMI, SWOT, CAD, folio work, Research skills, drawing skills, electronic
resource sites, ICT, apps, creativity, Socratic Thinking, Artificial intelligence, online learning,
zoom, teacher accountability, Technology and pedagogy, design pedagogy, issues in the
classroom or issues within a Technology Education faculty.
You are required to:
a) Only present opinions supported by research and factual information.
b) Promote a lively online group discussion using higher order thinking on the topic.
c) Draw conclusions and present the facts to wind up the presentation.
d) If available, use innovative teaching strategies and an app to educate, inform and
entertain.
e) Adhere to the strict word limit.
