Part 1

Choose 4 different types of family groups to explore and discuss. Describe each of family groups. Who are the members? What are challenges that may arise for each family group?

Part 2

Describe how a child could actually find himself/herself in three different family groups over a five year period? Be specific and thorough.

Part 3

List one way that early childhood educators can support children in each of those family groups. Reference the textbook and articles to justify your responses.
