Week 3 DISCUSSION POST
Discuss your philosophy on the use of power. Use both the course content and your own leadership and team perspective. Be specific. Questions to consider in your philosophy are:
· Which bases of power do you currently have? On your team? In the organization? Think informal as well as formal sources of power.
· How do you evaluate the effective and constructive use of power?
· How is power abused?
· How do you ensure you use your power constructively?
Post an initial 350+ word discussion.
Write in a synthesis format balancing the course content with APA format cites AND your own real world examples. Your examples should be from your own work/organizational perspective (not generic examples). Each paragraph must have a cite including page numbers (this applies to the interaction posts also!).
Include at least one relevant point from the courses readings with the cite/page numbers. The readings for this week:
· Read Chapters 5, 6, & 7 of the Johnson & Johnson Textbook (posted in the Course Resources and the Bookshelf)
