 Great post. I can relate to your example of operant conditioning. Positive reinforcement can give a student encouragement, confidence, and promote achievement overall. However, I do know that it is important to implement positive reinforcement accordingly and in alignment with the learner's values and goals. Could there be negative consequences of implementing positive reinforcmenet to reward a child's academic achievements? If so, to which extend?
