Leadership is the use of power and influence to direct the activities of employees or followers toward goal achievement.

1.  What role does power play in the leadership of your organization?

2.  What are the types of power that the leaders possess, and when do they use those types most effectively?

3.  What ways do the leaders solve conflicts and negotiate with employees and members?

There is one central question to leadership, “Is leadership innate, or can people be trained to be leaders?”

1.  What leadership traits and characteristic have you observed that are related to leadership effectiveness?

2.  How does transformational leadership differ from transactional leaders? What kinds of behaviors have you observed that indicate leaders of your organization are transformational leaders?
