Read the study, Trust in Schools: A Core Resource for School Reform by Anthony S. Bryk and Barbara Schneider (March 2003). Refer to the Trust in Schools: A Core Resource for School Reform link in this week's Readings and Resources. This is a longitudinal study of 400 Chicago elementary schools which focused on the central role of relational trust and integrity in building effective education communities.
- Post your reflection as to how you will begin to build trust with your staff in your first school leadership position. Give some reasons as to why you believe trust in the leader is crucial. Be sure to follow the Discussion Rubric located in the "Rubrics" section of the course main page.
Your initial responses are due by Wednesday at 11:55 p.m. Eastern time and should be between 200-250 words. The initial posting should be a statement of your point of view on the question, supported by the required readings.
