In a separate post from your artist bio/profile, please generate your own discussion topics from the Watkins reading and the assigned documentary: The Otherside (2012).

I realize it's not always easy to generate your own discussion topics. This is the time in the quarter to start putting the pieces together and asking yourself how everything we've read so far "fits" together and/or challenges common-sense definitions of hip hop culture.

• One way to focus might be to consider the pairings of this week's texts and speculate as to why I named this week "The Town."
• Feel free to bring in previous readings when relevant.
• Please make sure that you title your post according to your chosen topic or theme so that others can join conversations that they find interesting. 
• You will be able to see posts before you participate.
• You do not have to initiate your own topic post. It's also fine to incorporate your thoughts on the documentary and reading into a response (or more than one response) to classmates. Just make sure that you're also incorporating quotes and citing sources.
