Write a 700- to 1,050-word executive summary to your organization's leadership team answering the following:
· Introduction
· What is project oversight?
o The purpose of project oversight is to ensure the project is proceeding on time and on budget – and of more importance, that problem is identified early so that corrective action may be taken while the cost to correct the issues are manageable.
· How will project oversight impact the organization? How will it impact the project manager?
o Project oversight impacts an organization because after the project is completed then the project team can review and assess any issues that may have arisen during the execution of the project. Then the project manager is aware of the issues and then makes changes accordingly. This will hopefully not affect the project budget.
o Oversight methods implemented toward the project manager centralize responsibility and accountability, thus impacting performance and control of the projects.
· What is the importance of project oversight to the future of project management?
o By keeping detailed records of projects will help with future projects of the same kind. Also, you can account for risks seen and unforeseen because there is a reference point.
