Professionally, it demonstrates how sociology graduates develop analytical thinking, communication, cultural awareness, research, and problem-solving skills that are valuable across many industries.

Communication Medium: The final presentation could be created using Microsoft PowerPoint because it allows information to be presented clearly with charts, graphics, and speaker notes. Other suitable options include Prezi or Canva, which offer interactive and visually engaging presentation formats.

Brainstorming: Potential areas of research include the history of sociology, core sociology courses, required academic skills, internship opportunities, careers available with bachelor's and graduate degrees, average salaries, employment growth, professional organizations, real-life success stories of sociology graduates, and future employment trends. The project could also compare sociology with related majors such as psychology and social work to highlight similarities and differences.

Part III: Reflection

I chose the subject of obtaining a Sociology degree and career opportunities because, it gives me a chance to find out how much people can do after they have received their Sociology degree. Prior to doing this assignment, I was aware of sociology studies society and human behavior but I didn't know of the wide range of career opportunities associated with it. By learning about this I will gain a deeper understanding of the education needed, skills employers are looking for, and opportunities for my future career. This knowledge will also help me become a better information literate, as I will become more inclined to seek out reliable academic and professional sources.

The ideas that come out of the brainstorming will be useful for ideas for future assignments. The areas for research discussed in the suggestions will be used to find credible books, scholarly articles, government publications, and professional websites to use for the Week 5 source evaluation. In the final project for week 7 I intend to present the information in a logical format to inform of the value of a sociology degree, career possibilities, salary expectations, and future prospects. Putting this brainstorming activity into practice has helped me to establish a direction in which to conduct my research and also to select key questions that will direct my research investigation.
