The Clark County School District in Nevada has a proactive plan for protecting the safety and well-being of Clark County school students and staff. The video illustrates (through simulation) the plan in place to assess threats made by students.

• As you consider the balance between student threats and student rights, do you believe this plan adequately addresses both?
• If you could offer suggestions to the plan, what would you like to see changed before you make it a part of your school?
