Week 4 Discussion

Find a recent news story that you think likely misconstrued the hard science behind the article on which it is reporting. Please do not share blogs or simple superstitions that you've heard about; this needs to be a news story that claims to be sharing the findings of a research study. Then find the original research article itself, and share both of these with the class.  What fantastical claims are the media purporting?  In what ways does the media exaggerate the original article in order to make it more “glamorous” or sensational?
