Class,  In preparation for your first assignment (due in Week 4--next week), I would like for you to spend some time this week working on the completion of the assignment.

A full copy of the Week 4 Assignment " Analysis of the Effect of Population Growth" is located in your SOC 450 Student Course Guide. In the Course Guide you will find a list of Resources for Assignments. 

Please view the "Writing Tips for Assignments Power Point" and the "Week 4 Assignment Example Paper" (see Course Info Section). It is also a good idea to review the "Strayer Writing Standards" (see Getting Started). 

Please review as much of the Chapter material as possible as you take notes for your paper.

Again, it is very important that you use this time to WORK on your written assignment, and believe me there is no such thing as "too much time" when researching and writing these assignments. TASKS TO COMPLETE:

1) Read the complete Week 4  assignment, and Post the following information: Your personal Research Plan for starting and completing this assignment.  For example, you might provide some comments from the "Writing Tips" Power Point, or some resources from the Strayer University Library, or simply starting with reading the chapter material, taking some notes and posting some key points.  If you have already started working on the assignment, simply note where you are in the process and your experiences in locating information.  Do not copy the work of others in the discussions!

2) Please provide at least one (1) complete Reference source from at least one of the two developing countries you selected in Week 2 (using SWS or APA reference formats). My countries were China and India   If you have not yet selected two developing countries, please choose them from the World Bank (2020) List of Developing Countries (see Course Info section) and POST your country selections (along with one complete Reference source in this week's  main discussion).
