Last week you had the opportunity to complete a study of child development theories, research, and influencing factors. Now let’s shift the focus to early childhood and learning. Early childhood is typically when children start school; some children receive pre-school teaching and some children’s first experience with schooling will be kindergarten. Regardless of when a child starts their educational journey, researchers have different theories on how children learn. 

• Using Piaget’s and Vygotsky’s theories, how could a teacher assist a child to succeed in reading, social interaction, and language development? Explain and provide specific examples to support your answer.
