For this task, you will examine the two most-often used methods for identifying students with specific learning disabilities: the achievement-discrepancy model and Response-to-Intervention (RTI). Identify the strengths and weaknesses of each model. In conclusion, identify the identification method used in the state where you reside or teach. Then, give your opinion on the current identification processes in your state based on the strengths and weaknesses that you identified in the first part of your paper.
