 Tammie 2.1 

I previously worked at The Lighthouse Community Center, as a Gym Coordinator. The Lighthouse is a nonprofit organization that is designed to help low income children and their families. This organization has numerous programs to help families within the Newburg community, such as a free after school program for elementary and middle school students and an athletic center that provides basketball and cheerleading training.

On the lighthouse website, it shows that they do accept donations and they’re also requesting for individuals to donate money to Give for Good Louisville, so people could donate to the Lighthouse and their gift will be matched twice (thelighthousecenter.org). It also states on their website that the Lighthouse is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organizion.

The organization that I am using is Developmental Services Nebraska. Developmental Services Nebraska is a developmental and intellectual disability organization that provides services throughout the state of Nebraska to individuals with a with a disability.  DSN is a nonprofit organization that is classified as a 501 (c)(3) organization that receives tax-deductible contributions as well as takes donations and has fundraisers (Developmental Services of Nebraksa, 2017).  Individuals who qualify for services receive their funding from the Federal government and state of Nebraska. Individuals then can choose different companies like DSN.
