Delinquency Theories
Numerous theorists, such as Oscar Lewis, William Julius Wilson, Clifford Shaw, Henry McKay, Robert Merton, Elijah Anderson, Edwin Sutherland, Travis Hirschi, and Anthony Platt, have provided theories associated with delinquency.
On the basis of this week's readings, complete a research paper on the delinquency theories of at least three theorists included in the readings.
In your 3- to 5-page research paper:
- Provide brief descriptions of at least three theories. Include an analysis of how each theorist views delinquency and its causes.
- Choose the theory most associated with your beliefs and explain why you support that particular theory.
