When I went on the website to roll the dice, I started out with one dice and found that the distribution is even throughout which is considered a uniform distribution. What this means is that a uniform distribution has a constant probability or an equal probability of rolling the dice.
Now when I add more dice, say 2, 3, 4, or even 5, this indicates a normal distribution. What this indicates is that a bell curve is taking shape when I add more and more dice. A normal distribution also indicates that the results are situated around the mean. An event can happen on one side of the graph just as likely as it is to occur on the other side of the graph.
There is also a distribution pattern known as skewed distribution. “If the distribution of a data set has a skewness less than zero, the data is skewed to the left. Conversely, data that has a positive skewness is said to be skewed to the right.” (Staff, 2016)
It definitely took some time to get the website working properly as well. When I was trying to work on it, I couldn’t get it on my Firefox page on my Mac. I went on my Safari page and I downloaded the latest Java and had to edit the settings to get the page to work properly so I could do the assignment.
