For this task, you will write a paper comparing and contrasting three of the following professional codes of ethical practice against the APA code of ethics as explained in Fisher (2012):

• American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
• American Counseling Association
• Association for Death Education and Counseling
• American School Counselor Association (ASCA)
• National Association of Social Workers
• National Board For Certified Counselors

Your analysis of these codes will include responses to the following questions:

• What are the similarities among the codes?
• Based upon your readings and research, what do you believe the codes lack? What would you add?
• How enforceable do you believe the code is if an individual violates any standard or rule?
• What process is in place to address perceived unethical behavior?
• Do you believe you would be able to report a colleague who has committed a code violation?
