Consider the advantages and disadvantages of ERP as described in the text.

1. Based on what you've studied, do you think that installing an ERP system would be worth it, even at a cost of, say $100 million (for a fairly large firm)?
2. How does this differ if you were managing a small-to-medium-size firm and the installation cost was, say, $300,000?
3. Are there other ways to attain some of the benefits of ERP without purchasing a system through an expensive ERP provider?
