Imagine you have four social workers in your agency for whom you provide clinical

supervision. Each social worker has a client receiving services in your weekly mindfulness

group. This group comprises clients with very diverse backgrounds andmental health

conditions.

The social workers are showing some resistance to these clients participating in this

particular intervention. Your job is to convince them of its appropriateness.

● Develop four client cases, clearly demonstrating their diversity.

● Create a question for each specific case that a supervisee could ask to challenge

the use of mindfulness as an intervention.

● Compose responses based on research in the current literature for each of the

questions.

● Finally, justify the use of mindfulness interventions in general, based on current

research.
