However, the symptoms reduced during the continuation of the therapy and stopped with standard analgesic treatment, which is not a motive for abandoning the therapy. The worst side effect is convulsion seizure, but it is rare. This therapy has contraindications, for example, clients with a personal or family history of seizures, personal or family history of epilepsy, and patients who have ferromagnetic or magnetic objects in the head and neck and a history of head injury (Wieczorek et al., 2021).

Additionally, TMS requires multiple treatment sessions over several weeks to achieve maximum benefit, and the effects may not be permanent, necessitating ongoing maintenance sessions for some patients (Chen, Hudaib, Hoy, Fitzgerald, 2020 ;Fitzgerald, George, Pridmore, 2021; Fitzgerald, 2020).
