Purposes of emergency planning
Purpose
Expose students to ICS, NIMS, emergency management, and efforts being made to encourage public/private partnerships.
Objective(s)
Start to develop an understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS), the emergency management system in the USA, the need for a public/private partnership for community preparedness, as well as the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
