Complete this assignment by opening the reading through the Canvas module link, which will launch Harmonize, our social-annotation platform. Once the reading opens in Harmonize, you will highlight passages and add annotations directly on the text.

Your annotation(s) must address the following three questions:

1. Main themes: Highlight a passage that reflects a core theme or essential function of public health as the author(s) describe it. In your annotation, explain what theme or function the passage represents and how it connects to public health practice today.
2. Agree or disagree: Highlight a passage where you either agree or disagree with the author’s perspective. In your annotation, state your position and provide a brief rationale for why you agree or disagree, drawing on contemporary public health practice or other course materials.
3. Questions generated: Highlight a passage that raises a question for you, something you want to explore further, clarify, or debate. In your annotation, pose your question and briefly explain why this passage prompted it.
