Purpose
· Develop a comprehensive one-year business plan for a new nonprofit or audit an existing nonprofit's operations.
· Include standard business plan components and elements unique to nonprofit organizations.
Task
Throughout this course, you have been developing various components of your business plan, including budgeting, competitor analysis, organizational structure, volunteer management, and marketing/communication plans.
For this assignment, you will complete a one-year business plan for your new nonprofit or conduct an audit of an existing nonprofit.
· Focus on key operational and planning elements that will drive the organization's success over the next year.
· You may utilize a template, modify it to align with your specific requirements, or create your own from scratch.
Include the following sections
Executive Summary:
Summarize the mission, goals, key components and recommendations included in your business plan.
Organization Description and Mission Alignment:
Provide detailed information about the nonprofit, including its history, top leadership, mission, vision, and values.
Programs and Services:
Outline the specific programs and services the nonprofit offers or intends to offer.
For current nonprofits, assess the effectiveness and impact of current programs and services.
Conduct a market analysis of the nonprofit landscape, focusing on identifying potential collaborators, competitors, and immediate market dynamics.
