Unit 1 Post

It’s an odd numbered year so, as you know, the Texas Legislature is back in session!  In addition to considering thousands of bills, the members will also discuss (possibly) amendments to the Texas constitution.  

For this Unit I post…

First, describe in a few sentences -- in your own words – the process of how the Texas constitution is amended.  

Second, have a look at the accompanying list (PDF) of recently introduced joint resolutions.  Describe briefly why you think one resolution (of your choosing) will pass.  Then describe one resolution you think will not pass.  Discuss why for each response.  

Your total response to both questions should not be more than one page, double spaced.  Clear, cogent, and well-written arguments will get the highest scores.
