responsible for cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, osteoporosis, heart disease, and stroke. Could gene transplants cure these diseases and extend human life? What would be the possible consequences of such
manipulations? What ethical considerations will need to be addressed?
Should more resources be devoted gene resources which may reduce the costs of "entitlement" programs like Medicare? What of reducing family expenses for nursing care?
