Industrial fermentation is the use of microbial fermentation to make products useful to humans such as bread, beer, wine, cheese, biofuel and sewage treatment.
- Describe one example of industrial fermentation.
- Your description should list the reactants (inputs), products (output), and organism used.
- Be as specific as possible. For example, different cheese are made using different microorganisms and slightly different ingredient.
- Lastly, explain the advantages and disadvantages of a microorganism using fermentation to generate energy compared to aerobic respiration.
