Unit 2 Discussion - Thomas Edison and Broken Things
kmnmommy4
Thomas Edison said, "Results?...I have gotten lots of results. I know several thousand things that won't work!"
Based on your preliminary understanding and reading this week, react to this quotation! Six sigma is a methodology that can be used (among other things) validate business cases, improve process efficiencies, mitigate risk, and reduce wastes. How important do you think understanding things that don't work is to six sigma and operations management? Do you think that the process of discovering WHY things don't work is as important as the results that they do not work? Do you think we are able to replicate some of the creativity and innovation that Edison is famous for in today's modern business environment?
