Based upon your understanding of Chapter 3 in your textbook and the Walker and Kent article, what dependent and independent variables are investigated in this study? How does Daniel 1:17, which states, “as for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams” relate to the creation of research questions?  From a present-day perspective, from information in the Gibson, Qi and Zhang (2008) article, and from your reading of “Research Design” (Chapter 4), did the authors use a qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research design? What clues led you to that conclusion? Also, 1 Chronicles 28:9 states, “and you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.” How does this Scripture relate to what you have learned about the research design? Explain.
