Event safety needs to be considered for any event. Setting standards for safety is important for the event planner, vendors, and attendees. Many government standards have to do with the venue itself, such as American With Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Standards are also important for purposes of awards and judging contests, etc., such that everyone feels the judging is fair and the awards are fairly disseminated.
