two film review questions

- The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (Dominik, 2007)

and

- Zodiac (Fincher, 2007)

For each film, you may choose between two questions, answering each with a minimum of 250 words using appropriate citations (time stamps).

- Ostensibly non-fiction, how does the film establish authenticity and reliability? How do we know something is non-fiction without checking sources or the in-film label "based on a true story"? 

- How does the film engage with mass media representations of criminals and their crimes? How do these institutions shape individual perceptions of characters within the film?
