Topic 2: Discussion Question 1 

The ability to communicate the learning objective is crucial to a students’ learning process. What happens when a student does not understand what he or she is learning? What are the affects? How can you make sure your future students understand their learning? Discuss the implications of students not understanding the learning objectives or what is to be learned from the teacher. How can educators use this information to adjust instruction and how they communicate learning objectives? 

Topic 2: Discussion Question 2 

Describe the difference between writing the objective on the board and explaining to students what the objective is. How does explaining the learning objective change the ownership that students have in their own learning? Share an example from your field experience and grade level of how the teacher communicates the learning objective.
