Twelve Step Meeting

Pretend to Attend an open 12-step meeting, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, etc. 

Write a 700- to 1,050-word reaction paper in which you describe your reaction to attending the meeting. Include the following:

• Identify the type of meeting you attended.
• Describe the group members' demographics.
• Describe your reaction to the welcome, introductions, and content of the meeting.
• Describe the thoughts and feelings you had while attending the meeting.
• Describe the role of this type of meeting in treatment of a substance-related or addictive disorder.
