Case Assignment
In EDU605, you were introduced to common qualitative and quantitative designs. In this course, you have covered in detail a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods and designs, including processes for data collection and analysis.
After reviewing the background readings, using headings, write a 3- to 4-page double-spaced paper that addresses the following:
After reflecting on concepts taught within this course, has your chosen research method (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) and/or design remained the same or changed? Your research methods and/or design may have changed since initially considering your approach in EDD605. Provide an updated and expanded description regarding your chosen approach. The following content will be added to your ongoing research proposal, which was initially developed in EDD605 and will be expanded in EDD614.
State whether you will use a qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research methodology for your proposed study. Provide rationale for your proposed research method selection (3-4 paragraphs). Identify which research design you will use for your proposed study and support your rationale with course readings and other credible sources you may come across. Ensure that you make a clear case for why your chosen design is the most appropriate when compared to other common designs (3-4 paragraphs).
