Training

Organizations train employees for many reasons. Some training is mandatory and other training may be optional depending upon the employee’s interests and career goals. 

Write 850-900 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments.  Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.

1.  Discuss the differences between mandatory and optional training topics.

2.  What is the purpose of employer-provided training?

3.  Using examples, describe the types of training that employers provide.

4.  Are there some topics that are optional that should be considered mandatory for specific positions or industries? If so, which ones?
