1. Piece together the bits and pieces of information in the book "The Panda and Monkey King Christmas" to give a fairly detailed description of Xi'an--including its geographical location, climate, people, schools, traffic, food, and so on. Then access the official website of Xian ( http://en.xa.gov.cn/structure/home) to learn more about today's Xi'an and compare your description with what you find on the website.
2. In case you live off campus and have no access to the college library, read the press report about “international technology transfer” at the official website of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (http://www.most.gov.cn/eng) and share with us your thoughts, insights, comments, or questions, criticisms, constructive suggestions, etc.  200 words/ Show references
