Was he a good or bad leader? In this tragedy, does Oedipus in any way deserve the fate that he suffers? Can he really be held responsible for the death of his father if the oracle foretold his fate even before he was born? How is the symbolism of blindness used throughout the play? Discuss and use direct quotes.
