 Write an outline of topic sentences. (Write a topic sentence for each paragraph; only the topic sentences are needed. See the topic sentence document for review). 

 Write a first draft 2-3 pages. (Develop the topic sentences into full paragraphs and draft most of the body of the essay. Remember to research, add facts, quotes and explanations and review the essay you read. Talk with friends about the topic to gather more ideas for and against your views. Check the body paragraphs document for review).
