Your semester break is fast approaching and you are thrilled to know that NSG 501 will close at the end of Module 12.  As you begin to prepare to enjoy the time off, you realize that you have been invited to a cookout celebration at your Professor's home.  You decide to RSVP "yes" and look forward to the party.

As you enter the house, much to your surprise, the guests include not only your classmates, but several of the Nursing Theorists that you have learned about in class.  These special guests listed below are thrilled to meet you and pleased to know that you are preparing to conclude your Theoretical Foundations of Nursing Science course. 

              1.  Dr. Dorthea Orem - Self-Care Deficit Theory  (Grand and Mid-Range Theory)

              2.  Dr. Hildegard Peplau - Theory of Interpersonal Relations (Mid-Range Theory)

              3.  Dr. Katharine Kilcaba  - Comfort Theory (Mid-Range Theory)

              4.  Dr. Jean Watson - Theory of Human Caring (Mid-Range Theory)

              5.  Dr. Cheryl Tatano Beck - Theory of Traumatic Birth (Mid-Range Theory) 

These special guests are thrilled to meet you and pleased to know that you are just finishing a course in which you learned all about their theories.  Your task for discussion is to mingle among the guests joining conversations between and among different Theorists that are present.  Pick a Theorist and describe a topic of interest related to the specific theory and provide rationale as to why you chose that topic/question.
