Theory of ethics.

 If you were to attempt to build an objectivist theory of ethics, what principles would you build such a theory on?  For example, one kind of theory (i.e., act utilitarianism) claims that the actions that are morally correct are those that would maximize happiness and minimize suffering given the options available at the moment.  Do you think that is true?  Is the fact that an action maximizes happiness enough to make it morally right? Why or why not?
