Playwriting Project
REQUIREMENTS
1. Scenario: You are to write a dramatic one-act play.
1. Spine of the play:
2. 2-4 characters in the play
3. 10-minute play (10 pages typed not including Title Page and Reflection)
4. 5-10 sound effects (bold and blue font)
5. 1-character monologue (minimum 10 sentences)
6. Typed: Times New Roman
7. 12-point font
8. Double spaced
9. Include page numbers (Bottom in the middle)
10. Stage directions in italics/ use parentheses if stage direction is in the middle of dialogue
11. Character Names = CAPITALIZED
12. Characters Names = BOLD (optional)

· Setting: List by scene. Describes where the play takes place, what the stage looks like, what period/time it is set in, etc. for each scene
· Character descriptions: a list of characters briefly describing them and their personality, etc.
Page 4: COSTUME DESIGNS
· Design costumes for 2 of your characters. list the character name and scene—brief outline description.
· It may be hand drawn and in color or in color -digital image from the internet.
Page 5: SET DESIGNS
· Draw a proscenium stage and a bird's eye view of your set.
