The Right to Vote

Answer Questions:

 1. Discuss the your specific results taking the Louisiana Literacy Test.

2. What was your reaction? How did you feel taking the test?

3. What does this test and other practices after the Civil War say about the nation's acceptance of Blacks as equal citizens in the United States. Be specific. Support your answer with evidence from the readings.

4. There have been calls by some in modern times, especially after the last two presidential elections, to reinstate a form of the literacy test across the board.  As you should be aware, there continue to be efforts to limit those who can vote.  Agree or disagree? Why?
