The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA)

1) Provide a summary of facts for the ACA. This can be in the form of a written essay or bullet points.  There are many websites that offer what the Act is "supposed to do".  Do not include the "supposed to" aspects, only present what the ACA actually does. 

2) Based on your research, does the ACA help or hurt individuals and employees? 

3) Based on your research, does the ACA help or hurt small businesses (under 50 employees) and does it help or hurt medium to large (50+ employees) businesses? 

Do not simply answer the question, but tell me why.  Be specific. 

***the ACA only applies to employers with 50+ employees (as far as having to offer mandatory benefits), but there are some provisions that can help small businesses offer insurance so do a little research...Google will help out tremendously.  Also, be careful of biased websites that may have a political agenda.
